Critical Care Float RN

POSITION SUMMARY As an unassigned critical patient resource, The Critical Care Float RN responds to Rapid Response calls, Code Blue, and other medical emergencies throughout the hospital. In addition to providing direct care to critically ill patients, the Critical Care Float RN provides clinical support and education to the nursing staff.# The position is based primarily in the Emergency Department and rounds to other patient care areas to assist with assessments and critical care education. QUALIFICATION EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited RN program. BSN preferred. EXPERIENCE/SKILL SETS: Recent Emergency Department / Critical Care experience preferred LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION(S): Required prior to hire: Registered Nurse currently licensed by the State of Vermont BLS Healthcare Provider status ACLS within 3 months of hire PALS within 6 months of hire NRP within 6 months of hire TNCC within one year of hire CCRN, CEN, ENPC, STABLE,#and ASPAN preferred

• EDUCATION:

• CCRN, CEN, ENPC, STABLE, and ASPAN preferred
