Crisis Worker
The Crisis Worker completes comprehensive assessments of patients in hospital settings experiencing a mental health crisis. They utilize their clinical expertise to develop care plans to address emergent safety needs and coordinate intervention across a continuum of services. Crisis Workers work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, patients, and their families to connect patients to interventions that promote mental health which may include facilitating hospital admission, coordinating outpatient care, and linking to appropriate community resources.
Inpatient Mental Health Therapist
The Inpatient Mental Health Therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy for inpatients on the Behavioral Health Unit. They are an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, nurses, technicians, pharmacists, and others. The inpatient therapist engages with patients daily to help them resolve their mental health crisis utilizing a variety of therapeutic models and techniques. The inpatient therapist promotes safety and well-being following discharge by engaging in safety planning with patients and their families / supports.

Position Details:
This position will be based at the American Fork and Utah Valley Emergency Department but also support tele crisis needs for surrounding hospitals. Shifts are 1PM-1AM.
This role offers the opportunity for cross-training as a therapist on the inpatient psychiatric unit.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited program approved by the Utah State Board in a field relevant to license (degree will be verified).
Current State Licensure as a Certified Social Worker, Certified Social Worker Intern, Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor - Extern, or Associate Marriage & Family Therapist
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Effective computer skills (email, word processing, and spreadsheets
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a healthcare setting
Bi-lingual in Spanish
Physical Requirements:
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
