Crisis Intervention Specialist

Duties

Applicant would be responsible to provide support, encouragement, and empathy to both students and staff when situations become escalated causing a disruption to the classroom learning environment. Applicants must be physically capable to escort students from the classroom, and when necessary, use TCI physical restraint to assist the client back to baseline. Applicant would be responsible for the paperwork that goes along with physical restraint as well.

Qualifications

Current Paraprofessional License in the State of Illinois. Will be expected to pass the TCI training and exam. Any past experience with trauma informed teaching and learning is a bonus.

Salary/Benefits

The job pays $22.00 per hour.

Additional Notes

There is another Crisis Intervention Specialist working full time in the Time Out Center. Your hours are 7:45 am to 3:15 pm.
