This position will allow the individual to sleep on 3rd shift from 11:00pm to 7am in a homeless shelter for neglected children, ages 11 to 17.
Position is is available for Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday nights.
Must be 21 years old
Must have five years of driving experience
Prefer students in the human services discipline
Pay will be the North Carolina minimum wage ($7.25), however, in the event the staff member is needed to provide awake staffing assistance with clients, the individual would be paid at $11/hr. Note: (it is estimated the position will be sleep hours 80% of the time and awake staffing assistance 20% of the time)
Will provide the following duties during wake hours as needed:
Maintains a safe environment including fire prevention, fire drills, evacuation plans, and room checks.
Will complete administrative tasks such as filing, shift notes, and other administrative duties as needed.
Complete housekeeping duties such as laundry, sweeping and other duties to ensure a clean work environment.
Restrains aggressive clients using approved techniques and procedures.
May provide transportation for clients.
May be assigned other duties.
