SALARY/RANK: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have a Master's Degree or Doctoral Degree in Criminal Justice, Forensic Investigation, or a related field, with five or more years of work experience in such a field preferred.

The successful candidate should have professional experience in law enforcement and forensic/crime scene investigation at the federal, state, local, or private level. Experience working at the State or Federal levels preferred but not required. Certification such as International Association for Identification (IAI) or other certification is desirable.

A commitment to student-centered, "hands-on" learning, together with a general knowledge of all aspects of criminal justice and maintaining a general knowledge of evolving case law. Demonstrated experience in teaching. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong Christian faith, a commitment to the University's Mission, and a demonstrated commitment to that faith, through his/her professional responsibilities, relationships and the mentoring of students.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will teach 12 or more credit hours per semester in the areas of Criminal Justice and Forensic Investigation.

Subject areas will include Criminal Investigations, Private Security, Crime Scene Investigation, and other related courses. Additional responsibilities include assisting the Forensic Sciences Program Director in coordinating forensic investigation research projects. Duties include serving as an advisor to criminal justice and forensic science/investigation majors; assisting with internship and career placement; participating in extracurricular activities and programs; assisting with the recruitment of prospective students; serving on faculty committees; assisting with curriculum development, and performing other duties as needed. Additional duties to be discussed may include serving as coordinator and scheduling trainings and events at the Center for Criminal Justice and Forensics.
