Position Summary:

Supervises single/multiple crews in performing service line tasks (vacuum, hydro blast, chemical cleaning, grit blast, etc.) to complete jobs at client's site in accordance with client and business requirements and Company policies, practices and procedures.

Essential Duties:

  • Instructs, provides feedback and directs and assists crew in performance of job duties to complete work in accordance with client requirements and Company policies, practices and procedures. Enforces Company employee policies and may remove employee from job when required.

  • May schedule job and crews.

  • May dispatch crews based on calls received on nights and weekends.

  • Reads work order and ensures all required equipment is available and operational prior to starting job.

  • Inspects equipment and general work area prior to starting any job. Corrects deficiencies that may cause accidents, injuries, lost productivity or harm to equipment or that are inconsistent with client's requirements.

  • Informs client as required regarding job status and client requirements.

  • Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment when required.

  • Completes all appropriate paperwork including service receipts, and submits to designated management.

  • Trains Technicians and Operators on-the-job in equipment operation, service line processes and necessary paperwork.

  • Operates all necessary equipment in service line (chemical, hydro-blasting, painting, blasting, and vacuum) in accordance with operation training and safety procedures.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

  • On Call 24/7

  • Ability to report to work within one hour of receiving call to work.

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Educational Requirements:

High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.

Skills and Experience:

Minimum 2 years, verifiable service within the industrial cleaning industry.

Strong knowledge in the operation of equipment used in service line.

Strong communications and interpersonal skills.

Current certification as an authorized Company driver.

Mechanical aptitude and experience troubleshooting equipment is preferred.

Essential Functions: People Management * Direct Supervisory responsibility for process operators. * Responsible for recruiting, hiring, performance evaluation, recognition, and discipline of process operators. * Encourages and helps process operators develop and execute employee development plans. * Creates an environment that fosters teamwork and develops ownership. * Advises Plant Engineers and Technical Advisors. Technology and Work Process Implementation * Ensures Most Effective Technology (MET) and specific Operating Discipline requirements are in place. * Ensures implementation and ongoing effectiveness of global work processes, Operating Discipline, management systems, enabling technologies and roles. * Promotes corporate initiatives within the department such as Six Sigma, Productivity 2020, Olin harmonization, Plant Expansions, Process Automation Conversions and Project fusion. * Ensures the leveraging of Global Learning Experience Reports and implementation of plant specific action items that are generated by global events. * Root Cause Analysis Facilitator and active team member. * Active team member for planning and executing plant turnarounds and pitstops. Production Leadership * Personally participates to meet Business and plant goals (EH&S, quality, production, cost). * Performs appropriate Manage Production roles as determined by Production Leader (Operate Plant, Operating Discipline, Produce to Plan / Record Production, etc.). * Primary back-up to the Production Leader. * Ensures compliance with all Process Safety and Personal Safety Rules and regulations. * Drives the Root Cause Analysis for unplanned events. * Will provide a routine field presence to ensure work is being performed safely and effectively. * Will be part of an on-call rotation for the facility. Minimum Requirements: * Bachelors of Science degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering required. * Minimum 2 years combined experience as a Production Engineer, Unit Leader or Operations Leader in a chemical manufacturing plant required. * Experience in Process Automation preferred. * Experience working/planning Turnarounds is highly recommended. * Proven experience delivering excellent EH&S results in a large chemical manufacturing process. * Degree must be from a school that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the Secretary of Education of the U.S. Department of Education * This position is not eligible for an expat assignment * Olin does not provide any form of sponsorship to applicants not authorized to work in the US.
