The Gig:
We're on the hunt for an epic human to help Virgin Voyages bring to life the promise of the Best Gig Ever for our Crew (employees Ship and Shore).
In this role, you'll engage and connect with our Crew, continuously looking for ways to enhance the overall Crew experience at Virgin Voyages. This role will bring to life all Crew engagement and well-being activities in the office, and assist in driving overall employee experience strategies. This role will be based in Plantation, FL but will also support our remote Crew, as well as lending support to our ships.

This gig is based at VVHQ - our swanky Virgin Voyages Head Office in Plantation, FL where we follow a hybrid work environment. We can't wait to 'sea' you in person during our Collaboration Days, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, while you enjoy Mondays and Fridays' as remote days.
What You'll Be Up To:
Overall
Collaborate with team/peers to deliver an epic, standard experience across the company
Manage a detailed line-item budget appropriately and complete expense reports to stay within the approved total cost
Operate with a "no surprises" commitment to business partners and stakeholders, and become a role model for communication and collaboration.
Develop long-term strategies and key initiatives to promote and achieve a culture of service excellence and Crew engagement
Continuously benchmark against other companies and employee experience programs to stay competitive and relevant
Support larger Crew Experience and People team with initiatives as needed
Brand Ambassador
Champion & drive Virgin Creeds (values) and Culture, and share best practices with our Crew members
Provide a Virgin welcome to our new Crew members, and support our Crew onboarding program
Bring the Virgin brand to life in day-to-day interactions, as well as larger initiatives
Crew Advocate
Connect and engage with our Crew to support them and understand any concerns
Attend leadership meetings to represent the voice of our Crew
Develop long-term strategies and key initiatives to promote and achieve a culture of service excellence and Crew engagement
Host monthly meetings with Crew Champions, a program for representatives from all of our departments to come together to share feedback
Constantly look for ways to enhance Crew members' overall experiences at Virgin Voyages
Crew Happenings Champion
Work cross-functionally with operational teams, Creative Studio, Brand, Internal Communications, and Learn & Grow (training) to plan, promote, and oversee logistics for events such as company-wide celebrations/holidays, Crew recognition, wellness activities, cultural immersion programs, and onboarding programs
Create and organize events that support our brand promises and promote engagement
Continually evaluate the effectiveness of events as they relate to overall return on investment and company goals
Continually raise the bar and propose new events, and garner learnings from past experience and events
Research and actively seek out new concepts and vendors to keep events fresh and innovative
Take vendors on the desired journey to understand the needs of a Virgin Voyages Crew event/ activity
Ensure smooth set up, provide coverage, and break down of all Crew events /activities
Communications Creator
Support our internal communications team by preparing Crew Experience communications to be posted across various channels (Workplace, Digital Signage, Printed Signage)
Write compelling copy and create designs for emails, internal web pages, signage, social media, and/or push notifications
Master the Virgin Voyages tone of voice, look, and feel
Become a role model for communication and collaboration
Rewards & Recognition Lead
Create and champion a culture of recognition across the company
Work alongside the Crew Experience Senior Manager to develop a more robust and engaging Rewards & Recognition program for all shoreside and shipboard Crew
Ensure our strategy is competitive, engaging and rewarding through a myriad of incentives, recognition branding, and activations (land and sea) to successfully deliver an end to end program
Research, strategize, and implement Service-Anniversary awards for shoreside & shipboard Crew
Develop and maintain a program to commemorate birthdays and work anniversaries
Collaborate with the Studio/Design teams to create, produce, and distribute collateral, honors, and awards that look and feel in line with our brand and creeds
Be the force behind maintaining the program cadence and coordinate logistics, with a constant eye on finding opportunities for the program to flourish
Identify additional opportunities and plan moments end-to-end to celebrate our Crew
Logistics Extraordinaire
Facilitate purchasing of items needed to support overall Crew Experience team ship & shore
Research vendors for various needs to find the best pricing
Work on all shipping logistics to get items to their desired global destinations
Curate swag for experience-related events or initiatives
SuperPowers Required:
Demonstrated ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, geographically diverse, and rapidly changing environment
Uses approachability, empathy, and curiosity as superpowers to create trusting relationships
2+ years of either Crew (employee) engagement, office management, event management, executive or external communications, or equivalent experience
Ability to frequently lift, carry, and transport supplies, materials, and service items
Expertise in design and content creation (video and graphic design)
Experience with vendor management and shipping logistics preferred
Experience in travel, cruise lines, or with front-line workers is a plus
Flawless English language skills, written and verbal
Outstanding public speaking skills, with the ability to talk to and influence people of all levels
Finds joy and purpose in supporting fellow Crew on their employment journey
Must be flexible, creative, and solution-forward with a positive demeanor
Ethics - Treats people with respect; Keeps commitments; inspires the trust of others; Works with integrity and ethically; Upholds organizational values
