Summary
We are currently seeking a "best in class" Credit Supervisor with excellent organization skills and a personable disposition that is responsible for cash application and the accounting functions of the Credit department. This role is primarily responsible for the daily balancing of bank lockbox and entry of credit memos. Direct supervisor of credit associates. The ideal candidate has a natural ability to roll with the punches, being flexible to handle anything that might come their way. You'll be a strong and reliable support to company operations, maintaining procedures, communication and customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
Reconcile lockbox
Daily balancing
Cash application
Deposit support
Batch posting
Account maintenance
Processing of credit memos
Training and direction of field associates
Credit troubleshooting
Bad debt write-offs
Billtrust Liaison
Credit card entry
Backup credit reimbursement entry
ACH & Banking
Daily credit decisions on orders and credit limits
Reconciling and clean-up of accounts
Backup for month end reporting (AR Rating, DSO, Bad Debt)
Backup for live check and restricted endorsement review
Backup for Billtrust customer emails
Back up for address book corrects for bad email invoicing
Skills and Experience Required for Success
Considerable knowledge of practices pertaining to credit and AR.
Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations, or government law.
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with sales locations across the country with both centralized and decentralized credit associates
Professional, goal-oriented, and motivated with excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with other employees and represent the Acme Brick Company in an effective way.
Knowledge of Lien & Bond laws and procedures
Excellent computer knowledge, skills and experience with variety of software (Microsoft, SAP, JDE)
