In order to strengthen our Credit team we are looking to hire a Credit Specialist, based in Englewood Cliffs, NJ.

In this position, In this role, you will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating a credit scorecard to create credit decision automation. In addition, you will be deriving solutions and making recommendations relating to portfolio performance and creating operational efficiencies within the credit and funding departments. You will assist with strategic development plans required for business efficiencies.

As part of the team, your main responsiblities will be:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implementation and automation of a Credit Scorecard for risk mitigation, including the migration of data from Defi, Shaw, Amazon Cloud as well as utilizing the CRM once implemented.

  • Develop and implement credit scoring models and other risk assessment tools to enhance decision‐making processes.

  • Evaluates credit scoring, risk models and underwriting criteria to optimize decision‐making and manage credit risk effectively

  • Data Warehouse report building and administration for the Credit Team

  • Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and presentations that provide insights in an intuitive manner to support business decisions

  • Partners with Credit, Funding and other internal departments on the optimization of consumer lending credit processes to meet the evolving needs of the business

  • Regularly assesses processes and leverages technological solutions and automation tools to streamline activities related to loan origination system (LOS), underwriting, post‐close and servicing functions

  • Management of tasks and improvement of credit approval automation, upgrading Defi LOS and utilizing Lexis Nexis programs and tools

  • Develop and monitor Key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs), and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive performance excellence for Credit and Funding Departments

  • Develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Quicksight).

  • Develop data dashboards, charts, and visual aids to support decision‐making in the underwriting process.

  • Reference point for the credit, compliance and audit team.

In order to succeed in this challenging role, you will ideally have achieved a Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.

The following skills are required to perform the role: minmum of having 3 years consumer lending, prefarably in automotive. Experience developing credit scorecards, also experience with automated decision engine software, including strategy and custom scorecard implementations. Experience working with credit bureaus and credit scoring. Experience in defining data warehousing requirements, managing analytics and reporting data tables. Experience developing dashboards and reports in PowerBI, Tableau, Quicksight or other reporting applications. Must have ability to understand all business processes within the financial services industry. Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation, or government law Licenses/Certifications: N/A Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated ability to perform data extraction and manipulation, analyze data, and general reports, Proficiency of SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis. Knowledge of Python is a plus but not required. Knowledge of the auto lending industry. Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to develop effective presentations. Ability to multi‐task in a dynamic, ever changing environment
