A growing company with a proven track record of success is seeking a Credit Specialist in Midland, Texas. This position is Temporary to Full Time. As the Credit Specialist, you will be responsible for executing the Company's credit and collection processes in support of trade receivables, perform credit research, monitor accounts, investigate historical data for each debt or bill, communicate with customers regarding overdue payments, process payments and deposits, update account status records, submit reports to credit monitoring services, and attend meeting for local chapter of a credit management association. This person must employ excellent communication skills to establish productive relationships with both customers and internal representatives. Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel and Word computer skills

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Customer Service Skills

  • Thorough knowledge of billing processes and collection techniques

  • Familiarity with oil and gas lien laws and execution

  • 2 or more years in a credit or collections specialist role or similar

  • Associates Degree

  • 4 or more yeas in credit and collections role

  • 2 or more years in oil and gas industry

This position is responsible for supporting the sales efforts at a Sherwin-Williams paint store, servicing wholesale and retail customers. It will assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services. This involves ensuring that sales transactions are completed accurately, maintaining accurate work order files and formulas, pulling appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse, and tinting and mixing them to customer specifications. This position will also assist in sourcing products required by customers that are not available in the store and, upon approval, place order and follow up as necessary. Opening and closing the store, making bank deposits, stocking shelves and setting up displays, cleaning store equipment, and loading and unloading trucks are also responsibilities of the position. It may also assist in making deliveries if necessary. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: * Must be at least 18 years of age. * Must have a valid driver's license. * Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status. * Must be willing to work all scheduled hours and required overtime, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation. * Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. * Must be able to operate material handling equipment (e.g. hand truck, pallet jack, forklift, etc.). * Must be able to tint paint, therefore, must be able to distinguish the difference between colors. * Must be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma or comparable certification (e.g. GED). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Prior experience in a sales or customer service position. * Associate Degree or related college courses. * Customer service skills, including problem solving and handling customer complaints. * Good written and verbal communication skills.
