Position: Credit Risk Analyst

Physical Location: 2778 West Jackson Street, Building C, Tupelo MS 38803

Reports To: Credit Risk Review Manager

Working Conditions: Normal, no adverse or hazardous conditions

Job Group Category: Exempt

Primary Purpose:

Review and approve CRE and C&I loan renewals, provide HVCRE qualification determination on new CAD loans and administration of the Rated Asset process. Specialist must have a broad understanding of commercial banking, financial statement analysis, loan underwriting, loan documentation and loan ratings.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Review and approval of renewing CRE and C&I loans based on thresholds determined by management

Review CAD loans based on thresholds to determine HVCRE qualifications

Administration of the Rated Asset Meeting process

Assist Credit Risk Review Manager as needed

Other duties as assigned

Job Specifications:

Business, Banking, or Accounting Degree, or equivalent work experience

Five years of commercial banking experience

Demonstrated ability to understand business cash flows

Proficient knowledge and current use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Google

Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

Team player

Proficient with bank's core system and Nettrax

Preferred experience in Credit Analysis, Comm. Loan Underwriting, Loan Review or Lending Assistant

VIEW JOBS 1/16/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-04-15T00:00 Overview As a member of the Risk Management Team, the Model Validation Manager performs a wide variety of duties to support and maintain the bank's Risk Program. His/her primary role is to identify and qualify models within regulatory guidance and bank policy, and further, evaluating conceptual soundness and model performance of same. The Model Validation Manager acts as a Subject Matter Expert for the bank's Model Validation Program and, in addition to the above, works to maintain and enhance the Program and ensure its ongoing effectiveness. Incumbent supports the creation and maintenance of the enterprise-wide model inventory, model control standards, and model risk ranking. Models include those used within the various Business Units for supporting financial reporting, risk management, decision-making, risk weighted assets calculations, and economic capital estimation. Responsibilities Maintain and further develop Renasant's Model Validation Program * Maintain and further establish Model Detection and Inventory Process * Maintain and further develop Model Documentation Standards and Policy * Maintain and further develop Model Test Documentation Standards * Maintain and further develop Model Change Control Documentation Standards * Maintain and further establish Periodic Model Assertions Manage/perform each validation exercise. May be done independently or by using third party. * Test feeder information * Test assumptions * Test output * Scenario Analysis and Stress Testing Manage validation findings until corrected * Track findings * Resolve model disputes * Revalidate model corrections Board Reporting * Coordinate Board Reporting * Maintain Board reporting process including validation findings Chair the Model Risk Management Committee * Further develop committee structure and reporting * Create packet information for committee meetings Maintains current and accurate procedures for assigned job function Produces documents and reports as needed for audits and exams. Interface with Internal Audit, Regulators, External Auditors, and/or Third-Parties as needed. Perform any other duties that are deemed necessary by management. May manage projects as needed for the Company. Completes other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher and five plus years of banking, or comparable experience. Self-starter able to work independently without close supervision. Working knowledge of all areas of the organization and the ability to develop a clear understanding of the company's key functional processes and resources. Proficiency in creating documentation using Microsoft Office applications, and other publishing applications Excellent organization skills. Knowledge of computers, networks, software, and other computer-related peripherals. Good communication skills. Ability to work with others who may have conflicting viewpoints and resolve conflicts. Ability to apply generally accepted model validation methods, concepts, and techniques as they apply to our company.
