Credit Portfolio Manager, Equipment Finance

SUMMARY:

The Credit Portfolio Manager, Equipment Finance will be responsible for supporting the Regional Vice President in underwriting, portfolio risk monitoring, and enhancing existing customer relationships. The incumbent will independently develop and present credit approval memorandum to senior management. In addition to the above, focus will be on excellent customer service to retain clients and find ways to grow the loan base of existing customer relationships. Will follow the underwriting, loan documentation, and closing processes in accordance with credit approval and within the Equipment Finance and C&I Lending policy and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

Credit Management & Underwriting

• Develops, analyzes financial information, and prepares credit memorandum for use by lending officers or committees in the making of lending decisions on new Equipment Finance loans.

• Investigates all available sources of credit and financial information and review agency reports.

• Using financial statement spreading programs, prepares stand alone and global debt service calculations to determine the ability of the borrower and guarantors to pay the loan.

• Analyzes financial statements and related material.

• Monitors the performance of the portfolio through monthly reporting and assist in collections when necessary.

• Ensures that loans meet all policy and regulatory guidelines and policies.

• Prepares collateral evaluations using industry specific third part sources.

Portfolio Management:

• Continuously monitors the portfolio performance for delinquency and portfolio concentration limits as set for in Credit Policy and report to the EF Regional VP and C&I Lending FSVP.

• Enhances existing Referral Source relationships and assist Lending Officers and Branch Personnel regarding new Equipment Finance requests to deepen existing relationships.

• Develops and manages monthly and annual portfolio review package, which includes concentration reports (equipment, state, industry, referral source) and confirm the portfolio concentrations are within Policy guidelines.

• Monitors the performance of the portfolio through monthly reporting and assist in collections when necessary.

• Proactively identifies and surfaces risks within the Equipment Finance Portfolio.

Loan Documentation, Review, and Analysis:

• Assists the documentation/closing department regarding loan structures and documentation questions.

• Assists the Compliance Department during annual audits.

• Assists team members in gathering information for any internal or external loan reviews.

Other Responsibilities:

• Performs other job-related duties as may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required.

• Minimum (5) five years' experience as a Commercial Credit Analyst in the Equipment Finance business (preferred).

• Working knowledge and understanding of commercial loan products, policies, procedures, and federal regulations.

• Proven problem solving, decision making, underwriting and analytical skills.

• Skills in MS Office applications and other specialized credit analysis and lending software.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple assignments with good organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• nCino/SalesForce experience preferred but not required.
