The Credit Manager will be responsible for the successful management of Bunzl Retail Services accounts receivable portfolio. This will include statement creation, credit review and monitoring, as well as partnership with the business to project manage issues that slow or hinder payment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be a role model for BRS's company culture.

• Maintain and enforce BRS's process.

• Manage accounts receivable portfolio by reducing past due balances.

• Statement creation and delivery to all clients.

• Investigate ways to reduce overall DSO and DBO.

• Look for process improvements and ways to automate current workload.

• Serve as a business partner to commercial team on account collections.

• Partner with billing and cash application teams to share best practices.

• Maintains financial security by adhering to internal controls.

• Support Cross training of team.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE/REQUIRED PROFICIENCIES

• 7+ years of experience in credit management and collections.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or equivalent field of study preferred.

• Comfort and confidence with making independent credit decisions based upon company guidelines.

• Ability to lead change as a catalyst for process improvement.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others to accomplish goals.

• Strong detail orientation and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel (intermediate level).

• Additional accreditation through NACM (National Association of Credit Management) a plus.

• Experience with JD Edwards/AS400 a plus.
