Pre-Trade Markets Tech is made up of 1,000+ colleagues and technologists globally across UK, US, India, Czech Republic, Singapore, Japan, and Hong Kong.
We are responsible for designing, building, deploying, and supporting all of the technology solutions required for the Markets front office trading as well as solutions for Sales, Research, and Banking. We cover all asset classes including Credit, Equities, FX, and Rates. We partner closely with the heads of the business in order to deliver market leading platforms to meet our clients' needs.
Overall Purpose of role
As a Markets Execution eTrading Developer, you will design and develop business solutions to enhance our electronic trading offerings and drive client business flows. The role holder will report directly to the AETT Credit eTrading Development Manager and will collaborate with a global development team to facilitate electronic trading across various execution venues in line with Business and Technology requirements.
Hands on technical design and development of high quality, globally available and sustainable solutions.
Cross-regional Level 3 support of the Production estate and capacity, performance and resiliency initiatives.
Agile collaboration with teams in Europe and Asia to maintain a global offering consistent with regional business requirements and standards.
Contribute to conformance with regulatory and market structural change, as well as compliance and control standards.
Strategic Platform and Processing; follow common design and implementation practices and reuse of technology in line with agreed strategic objectives.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or quantitative discipline
5+ years' experience as a developer of real-time solutions for electronic trading in FX, Commodities, Rates or Credit markets
5+ years' experience with the following applied technologies is required:
JMS, Solace, TibcoRv, MQ or other enterprise messaging middleware
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Excellent analytical and decision making skills
Ability to multi-task and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders
Results-oriented, delivery-driven individual requiring minimal guidance
Good understanding of Agile software development life cycle methodologies
