Job Description Summary
Credit and Risk Analyst responsibilities include identifying and reviewing credit and risk related activity to report to management. Investigation and review of activity identified to help our company prevent compliance and risk related losses.
What You'll Do (Functions & Responsibilities)
Verify and assess merchant application information and preform underwriting functions to approve and decline applications.
Communicate effectively (written and verbally) with employees, merchants, sales agents, and partners to support our solutions.
Monitor, identify, and report suspicious and fraudulent activity.
Oversee compliance reviews for new and existing clients.
Prepare detailed reports for management based upon risk assessment.
Develop and manage a training program for internal staff and external partners on risk management practices.
Collaborate with a team or as an individual to identify opportunities of continuous improvement for processes and tools in place for underwriting, risk management and operational functions.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For (Minimum qualifications)
Minimum of 3 years experience in credit or risk.
Familiarity with the payments industry (both card and ACH) and awareness of current trends.
Proficiency in reading and analyzing credit reports and financial documents.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as the company expands.
Demonstrated integrity, good judgment, and decision-making abilities.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
Experience in one or more of the following:
Payments industry
Underwriting or risk management
