AMLI Residential is seeking a Credit and Collections Analyst who will play a crucial role in aiding the Credit & Collections Manager in maximizing application approval rates while minimizing bad debt and fraud risk. This role also involves providing support to corporate homes/short-term rental partnerships and assisting in maximizing collections on delinquency. This position will be based out of the Chicago or Dallas corporate office.

Essential Functions:

Credit:

  • Assist in the screening process as needed by managing the screening inbox/ticket system.

  • Collaborate closely with the Credit and Collection Manager to offer support and relevant training.

  • Aid in identifying, tracking, and communicating fraud trends across the portfolio and suggesting improvements to credit requirements, screening criteria, procedures, and screening systems.

  • Assist in evaluating new tools to streamline processes, mitigate risks, and improve efficiency.

  • Support in generating periodic reports on key metrics and review scorecard assignments.

Collections:

  • Assist in reviewing and resolving pending collection disputes, providing missing documentation when needed for bad debt collection.

  • Work closely with the Credit and Collections Manager to monitor compliance with collections policies, procedures, and results.

  • Help maintain a log on approval overrides and decision criteria, providing support as needed.

  • Assist in generating periodic reports on delinquencies and assessing the effectiveness of collection partner(s).

Corporate Housing:

  • Support our corporate housing strategy and partner relationships by providing quotes, screening providers, and being a valuable accounting resource.

  • Maintain current and relevant information and documentation on the corporate housing department's page, including policies, approved provider status, and other necessary information.

  • Assist Corporate providers, Help Desk, and the onsite teams with corporate provider portal troubleshooting.

  • Aid with inbox inquiries and relevant training for corporate provider policy and procedure.

  • Assist in preparing and executing preferred corporate housing contracts within AMLI-approved guidelines, when applicable, and ensure valid maintenance of corporate providers' renter's insurance.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Bachelor's Degree is a plus.

  • Minimum two years relevant property management experience, or equivalent, required.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of credit screening processes and fraud detection methods is a plus.
