Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Credit Analyst to join our Wholesale Finance team in Kennesaw, GA. Under the direction of the Credit Manager, the Credit Analyst completes customer due diligence in accordance with company policies and procedures, conducts research, financial analysis, manages conditions and documentation for both new and existing Yamaha dealerships. Conducts credit reviews to assess and mitigate risk, recommends decisions that protect the interest of YMFUS, and follows for conditions needed to complete deal setup or continuation.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct due diligence/risk assessment of small/medium new prospect files, financial analysis, credit line recommendation and documentation requirements.

  • Complete small/medium annual dealer reviews based on company policy. Assess risk through financial analysis and operational performance, recommend credit line, conditions, and documentation needed to continue dealer relationship.

  • Provide internal and external communication between sales, operations, financial services, and dealers.

  • Monitor dealer accounts for timely follow-up of outstanding conditions, satisfaction or waiver as well as on-going compliance with credit line approval.

  • Review and assess significant changes to existing dealers and determine go-forward security and documentation requirements (buyouts, ownership restructuring, additional collateral).

  • Complete special reviews associated with permanent increases, temporary increases, overlines, product additions, financial triggers, and high-risk account monitoring.

  • Other projects, assignments or functions in support of portfolio risk management as needed.


  • Decision-Making Responsibility (describe the degree of autonomy and authority in project/work activities and supervision expectations)

  • Decision authority on smaller credit lines based on policy. Ability to work independently with

  • supervision on quality of work and timely completion.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration

  • 1 + year of underwriting/financial analysis experience

  • Excellent time management, organizational & multi-tasking skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Cross-functional team environment skill set and ability to work independently

  • Minimal travel required

  • Must perform all other duties outstandingly and consistent with guidelines, as assigned

You will be working directly with the finance team and managing various financial planning and analysis tasks, including month-end close, monthly management reporting, 3 year strategic plan, annual budget, forecasting, financial modeling, and other analysis as needed. You will be a strong collaborator with the rest of the Tax & Accounting Finance and Accounting teams to deliver quality financial information and analysis, provide strong internal controls and to deliver the strategic priorities of the group, with a primary focus on revenue. Key Responsibilities: * Manage monthly financial analysis and reporting of results, including variance analysis vs budget/forecast and prior year. * Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes for the Professional Segment. * Ensure timely completion of analysis and reporting on the Professional Segment financial results to the Tax & Accounting Division and Corporate finance groups. * Collaborate within the Professional Segment organization to develop comprehensive and accurate financial forecasts for revenue at the product and transactional levels and ensure that financial information and analysis supports the reporting and decision making needs of the group. * Provide product level revenue and customer pricing analysis. * Alert the Professional Segment executive team and managers to trends in the financial performance of the business that may require management attention and action. * Assist in development of the annual three year strategic plan, detailing revenue, and as needed, expense and cash flow expectations, along with supporting strategic and tactical plans. * Participate in the financial evaluation of new product initiatives and acquisition/divestiture opportunities and if consummated, in the planning and execution of integration. * Drive enhancement of forecast revenue and cost models to provide accurate financial forecasts. * Build financial models to support new investments, product rationalizations, and other new initiatives as needed. * Drive continuous process improvement and best practices to reduce finance business process cycle times, improve financial forecast quality, and enhance information provided to the Professional Segment leadership for business decisions. * Evolve the Professional Segment KPIs and metric tracking to more effectively run the business. * Advise the Professional Segment leadership of opportunities and risks that impact business performance. * Manage, develop, and mentor the Professional Segment FP&A team members, leading them to accomplish individual/team goals and objectives.
