We are looking to add an enthusiastic, service-oriented individual to join our growing team. In this role, the Commercial Credit Analyst I (CCAI) will provide support to the Commercial Lenders with emphasis on financial analysis in determining the creditworthiness of a borrower. The CCAI will have exposure to both private and public companies over a wide variety of industries, cash flow and other types of lending, and direct and syndicated loan opportunities.


  • Analyze business financial statements and create cash flow models to be utilized in support of new and existing commercial loans, renewal requests, and amendments.

  • Assist in the preparation of credit evaluation memorandums, annual and quarterly reviews, and accurate and timely risk ratings.

  • Assist in the ongoing management and monitoring of a commercial loan portfolio.

  • Ensure that certain financial statements and compliance certificates are up-to-date.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the soundness of borrowers and collateral through financial research including evaluating financial statements and analyzing third party data.

  • Assist in preparation of monthly Bank Board of Directors reports providing a summary of commercial relationships.


  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting or another business related field required.

  • Understand and comply with all regulations, including the Community Reinvestment Act, Bank Secrecy Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, etc.

  • Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.

  • Use of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

POSITION OVERVIEW Conducts collection of delinquent accounts of customers, manages disputed items or customer questions and builds credit risk file for customers review by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Routinely contacts customers with past due balance following collection policy. * Recommend accounts for escalation based on policy thresholds. Will also work with branch on recommendations. * Manage customer service issues related to disputed items with branch teams or sending required documentation. * Review credit hold screen, make the necessary calls to the branch or customer to effect the release of orders. * Investigate and verify financial status and credit history review of current customers, preparing credit review file, and recommending change in credit limit and terms. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE SKILLS * Associate degree or equivalent, two to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Ability to deal with customers in a friendly manner, communications skills are important * Familiar with MS Suite- Outlook and Excel are must * Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. * Ability to perform basic math functions such as calculating discounts. * Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists or when information may be incomplete. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
