Summary: This position is responsible for providing underwriting and risk analysis to AFC Operations regarding our customers, along with the responsibility for processing applications and related documentation efficiently and to review documents for the purpose of assessing the credit worthiness of dealers.
The focal points of the Credit Analyst are customer service and risk management. This position will partner with employees at the branches to deliver accurate and responsible financial services to our external customers. The Credit Analyst must be competent in the technical aspects of processing applications and determining credit worthiness. This is a high volume and fast paced work environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1.Develops a thorough understanding of AFC policies, processes, and procedures related to processing applications and contracts and to assessing credit worthiness.
2.Takes actions necessary to collect or verify information required to process credit applications and to access risk.
3.Uses spreadsheets and other automated or manual processes to compile required documentation and reports.
4.Combines AFC credit guidelines with professional judgment to recommend the level of credit to be extended to each customer.
5.Provides prompt, accurate and courteous service to both internal and external customers.
6.Process all applications/increases of $600,000 US and below (credit approval for all accounts within set guidelines).

High School diploma or GED required. College education preferred or equivalent experience of zero (0) to three (3) years in Credit related services required.
Familiarity with concepts, procedures and processes typically used in automotive and financial services industries. Good organizational and analytical skills utilizing numerical information. Ability to interact professionally with internal and external customers.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word preferred. Telephone, keyboard, standard office equipment, Windows based computer systems.
