General Purpose:

The incumbent will provide skilled analytical research, analysis, and project-oriented support on assigned portfolio. Analyzes and reports to senior management the quality of components of assigned portfolio. Assesses the adequacy of risk mitigants and makes recommendations to senior management regarding future lending activities. Demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities, behavioral attributes, and has the education or comparable experience to competently contribute to the administration of the credit function and ensure continuous compliance with established policies, procedures, laws and regulations.

Time

Analytics, Queues, Phones, Projects, & Relationship Managements:

  • Complete comprehensive risk analysis on assigned portfolio of accounts.

  • Perform financial and industry analyses as well as evaluating economic trends.

  • Identify credit and operational risks representing potential exposure to the bank.

  • Recommend improvements to reports, risk management strategy, policy, and procedures.

  • Utilize commercial and consumer credit reports and data to make complex credit decisions relative to credit applications, credit, line increases and other risk related requests in accordance with approved credit policy and established procedures.

  • Approve/decline credit requests within lending authority.

  • Test various product lines used in defined models relative to the accuracy of assumptions used and recommends adjustments to those models.

  • Participates in the development and completion of special projects.

  • Identify and exceed the needs of the organization and clients through collaboration, strategic outreach, problem-solving and adaptability to partner's financial needs and marketplace objectives.

  • Prepare and present complete and accurate credit packages for management and the bank credit committee recommending and supporting credit decisions.

  • Prepare and present professional level information, reports, analysis and recommendations to the Bank Executives.

  • Use foreign currency translations in preparing complex reviews

  • Work in numerous AR platforms and become expert in at least 2

  • Develop and produce various monthly and quarterly reports.

  • Work various incoming email and other workflow queues as a high priority

  • Assist with CA2 duties if needed

  • System or process expertise in at least one area of business. (TSYS, EFS, PS, etc)

Customer Service:

  • Establish and maintain high customer service standards and model those behaviors.

  • Handle escalated customer service issues as necessary.

Technical

  • Advanced skills with credit and accounts receivables computer programs. Experience with PMI, TSYS, PeopleSoft, Siebel or comparable AR and credit systems is required.

  • In addition to general computer operation skills including typing, the incumbent must possess advanced skill in general office equipment such as fax, copier, phones, printers, etc.

  • Excellent working knowledge of statistical modeling and its impact on policies, procedures, governing principles, and tools.

Complexity and Creativity

  • Independently develops, prepares, coordinates, and distributes the analytical components of assigned portfolio.

  • This position has responsibility for overall portfolio management and credit decisioning including, but not limited to, fraud oversight, and detailed financial statement analysis.

  • Evaluates data and model assumptions against changes in the business operating environment, making adjustments as necessary.

  • This individual must have intermediate to advanced portfolio management skill to make several potentially high-risk decisions per day with minimal information.

Minimum Required Qualifications for Consideration

  • College graduate with accounting, business, or finance bachelor's degree preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: % Time New Accounts Processing & Analytics: Processes commercial WEX Bank new credit applications. Investigates and analyzes credit information. Uses established guidelines and matrix to make approval/decline decisions, as well as apply broad-based knowledge of principles and practices to complete difficult decisions. Focuses on new applications, this can include Fleet, OTR, MC as well as pre-approvals for all WEX bank new opportunities. They will also focus on new applications that require financial statement analysis. Also completes risk analysis on individual new and existing accounts within assigned portfolio, including financial and industry analyses and evaluating economic trends. Identify potential exposure risks to the bank. Recommend improvements to strategy, policy and procedures. Utilize credit information to make complex credit decisions on applications, credit line increases and other requests in accordance with approved credit policy and established procedures. Decision credit requests within personal authority. * Determines the credit worthiness of all accounts not scored by the model, and makes those decisions based on broad-based knowledge of practices and industry standards. * Resolves complex credit problems with internal/external customers. Presentations: Prepare and present complete and accurate credit packages for management and the bank credit committee recommending and supporting credit decisions. * Provides risk management through alerting management of extraordinary risk indicators and taking appropriate actions.
