Performs the credentialing process for applicants to the MLH Medical and Specified Health Professional Staff.
Enters and edits practitioner demographic information into credentialing software
Maintains physician meeting attendance records
Prepares reports from the credentialing software
Maintains accuracy of practitioners' Clinical Privileges
Assist in filing of documents into practitioners' Credentials and Quality Files
Creates reports from ECHO-Medical Staff Affairs physician database software as requested.
Assist in Special Projects related to credentialing and/or medical staff affairs
Makes decisions and aligns work consistent with the Organization's Goals.
Actively supports decisions once they are made.
Accepts responsibility for own actions.
Effectively addresses difficult interpersonal situations.
Works with a Team approach.
Education: High School Graduate; Secretarial or business school preferred.
Experience: 3-5 years of Credentialing and/or Medical Staff Office experience preferred; 2-3 years recent secretarial experience required; Microsoft Windows/Word/Excel; Experience with software or databases; types 50 words per minute; demonstrates proficiency in use of ECHO database; Ability to effectively communicate in written and verbal formats.
