Performs day-to-day activities to accurately process credentialing verification applications and expirable primary source verifications. Administers application packet sending process. Processes new applications including inputting new applicant's basic information into the system. Updates provider's basic information upon request. Reviews and verifies expirable primary source verification and follows up with provider as needed.. Records and tracks responses from primary sources. Assembles reappointment application packets. Assists the Credentialing Verification Specialists as needed.
Supports creating and building Credentialing Verification Team that is focused on delivering results by providing effective feedback to other team members and by seeking and responding to regular performance feedback. Helps in orientation and appropriate training of team members.
Supports the success of a high-performing shared services organization by helping to champion and drive the long-term Sutter Shared Services vision. Helps foster an environment in which continuous improvement in business processes and services is welcomed and recognized. Participates in programs and in using tools in support of building a high performance culture via the standard Sutter Shared Services responsibilities (e.g. performance measurement, people development, customer relationship management, etc.).
High School diploma is required.
Experience with computer data entry and general office procedures is required
Experience working in a medical staff office or in credentialing setting is preferred
Experience with Credentialing Verification systems and applications is desired (preferably Echo)
Experience with a start-up organization is a plus
Ability to perform day-to-day Credentialing Verification processing activities to ensure that customer priorities are met
Organization and prioritization skills
Ability to communicate ideas both verbally and in writing and strong listening skills
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and working with multiple customers
Ability to type at least 40 Correct Words Per Minute
Ability to enter data into a computer database accurately
Ability to scan and organize data on a shared collaborative work site
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint and Credentialing Verification systems and applications such as Echo
Requires the ability to work with and maintain confidential information
