Pay Range: $27.79 - $40.81 USD hourly.

Purpose of Job:

Improve the overall health of the communities we serve by providing Credentialing leadership and Workforce Development support services as follows:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees CHAS Health staff credentialing and privileging processes.

  • Supervises, supports, trains and coaches Credentialing staff to improve their professional knowledge and skills, while encouraging teamwork and employee engagement.

  • Oversees accuracy and timeliness of all credentialing and privileging processes, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

  • Directs continuous improvement activities relating to credentialing function.

  • Performs credentialing, privileging and re-credentialing of Licensed Independent Practitioners, Other Licensed or Certified Practitioners, and Other Clinical Staff, as needed.

  • Monitors documentation renewal/expiration dates and follows through to completion in timely manner.

  • Creates and maintains credentialing documents and updates information in appropriate database.

  • Communicates with appropriate staff and outside organizations regarding status of applications.

  • May assist with other Workforce Development department initiatives.

  • Performs other duties as assigned, including supporting the CHAS Health Mission and Core Values.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related field preferred, high school degree or equivalent required. At least two years' experience in healthcare credentialing required. Knowledge of legal requirements affecting credentialing and human resources functions required. Experience working in credentialing software and human resource information systems preferred. Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Skills: Computer skills required. High degree of attention to detail and accuracy required. Excellent organization and follow-up skills required. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills required. Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality required. Ability to work under tight time constraints, handle high stress and changing priorities required. Valid drivers' license and insurance required. Commitment to supporting a safe, respectful, equitable, and inclusive environment required.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to hear, use vision, stand, sit and be mobile. The employee will use hands to finger, handle or feel. Communicating occurs constantly throughout the day. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
