Centro Castillo is an established mental health group practice looking to hire a credentialing specialist. Credentialing work is 50% of the job while the other 50% is encompassed with varied administrative duties. Were looking for an energetic professional who can multi-task and thrive in a dynamic environment.

Primary Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Process therapists accreditation, managed care, governmental & commercial insurance credentialing and re-credentialing.
  • Inputs & updates provider credential databases of CAQH, PECOS, & NPPES
  • Completes provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications; monitors applications and follows-up as needed
  • Maintains knowledge of current health plan and agency requirements for credentialing providers.
  • Audits health plan directories for current and accurate provider information.
  • Updates therapists information in hospital information systems, respond to verification requests, and perform file audit.
  • Credentialing of clinical staff with health insurance plans
  • Verifying insurance benefits.
  • Assists with marketing and public relations

Required Skills

  • 2+ years experience in an administrative role at a healthcare practice (medical, dental, psychology)
  • Knowledge of commercial healthcare insurance or government contracts
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • A minimum of 2 years Credentialing experience in a medical office
  • Experience getting providers paneled with insurance companies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Quicken/QuickBooks
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in Spanish preferred
  • Strong organization and leadership skills

Qualifications Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED required. * Successful completion of training session and training period for a Rehab Aide II required. * Completion of OSHA training. * Certified-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. * First aid certification preferred * Two (2) years previous job-related experience preferred. * Prior experience in an outpatient clinic a plus. * Computer skills must include word processing, spreadsheet, and data entryexperience.
