Parkridge West (formally Grandview), a 70-bed acute care hospital located in Jasper, Tennessee, is the newest member of the Parkridge Health System. Grandview has provided medical, surgical and behavioral health services to the Sequatchie Valley community since 1998. The facility is home to an Emergency Department available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Grandview also offers a wide range of specialized services and programs including inpatient and outpatient surgery, intensive care, imaging, physical therapy, and more. Mountainview Treatment Center, located on the campus of Grandview Medical Center, provides psychiatric care for adults and seniors. The staff and physicians of Grandview Medical Center are committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate treatment for patients and their loved ones.

Parkridge West (formally Grandview) is looking for a Credentialing Coordinator.

Hours: Part-Time, Days, Approximately 24-32 hours per week that flex from Mon-Wed or Wed-Fri

Responsibilities:

Support hospital initiates in meeting core measures, patient safety and service excellence goals.

Communicates and interacts with patients, families and others in a caring, empathetic, courteous, and respectful manner.

Communicates effectively and works with physicians and/or other members of the interdisciplinary team in meeting patient needs.

Continuously evaluates work process and design; understands role in ensuring quality/performance improvement, productivity, and service delivery to meet stakeholder needs.

Performs duties in accordance with departmental policies and procedures, and recognized professional, quality, patient safety, environmental and infection control standards.

Demonstrates knowledge of the occurrence reporting system. Uses system to report potential patient safety issues.

Follows established guidelines for reporting a significant medical error or unanticipated outcome in the patients care which results in patient harm.

  • At least three years of past experience in the Medical Staff Office environment.

  • Experience with committee processes, including composing accurate committee minutes required.

  • Previous credentialing experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

  • Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills

Header Position Summary Responsible for all receiving and shipping of medical instruments, component parts and miscellaneous items into and from the facility and coordinating the daily route schedule of medical instrument deliveries. Duties * Unpacks, identifies, examines and sorts incoming medical instruments, components and miscellaneous items. * Coordinates daily route schedule for medical instrument delivery. Works closely with the delivery drivers to ensure timely deliveries and to mitigate any issues with delivery. * Compares identifying information of incoming instruments to verify Sales/Purchase Orders, invoices, packing lists and/or other records. * Ensures the accuracy of shipping documents and verifying receiving instruments with SRN's and other documents. * Maintains inventory of disinfection shipping materials and supplies. * Routes medical instruments, component parts and miscellaneous items to proper repair location or final destination. * Places instruments in protective material and counts contents of all Sales/Purchase Orders prior to packing, checks model and serial number. * Packs outgoing medical instruments, component parts and miscellaneous items and prepares shipping labels through use of overnight currier services such as FedEx, UPS, etc. * Communicates problems, discrepancies, etc. with Supervisor, Technicians, etc. * Maintains receiving/shipping area in a clean, safe and orderly manner. * Performs filing, photocopying and collating duties. * Maintains receiving/shipping area in a clean, safe and orderly manner.
