  • Friday 8:00am

  • 4:30pm with some early morning meetings

What You Will Do

As an Associate with Ascension St John , you will have the opportunity to process credentialing and re-credentialing applications of health care providers.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews applications, prepares verification letters and maintains database.

  • Contacts medical office staff, licensing agencies, and insurance carriers to complete credentialing and re-credentialing applications.

  • Completes administrative duties, such as ensuring state medical licenses are up-to-date and checking the status of new license applications.

  • Ensures compliance with accreditation standards and legal requirements related to the Medical staff.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Preferred Credential(s):
  • Credentialing Specialist.

Education:

  • Diploma

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Work Experience:

  • None required.

  • Medical office experience strongly preferred.
