The Winston School, a small independent 6-12 grade school in North San Diego County seeks a credentialed Special Education Teacher for Middle and High School students with learning differences. Drama, music, language specialists encouraged to apply!

We are seeking a Special Education teacher with at least 3 years of teaching experience to work in a team-teaching setting and provide direct instruction at the middle or high school level.
Experience teaching drama, music or ASL is highly desired. Candidates must have an Education Specialist Credential and at least 1 year of experience working with students who require accommodations and differentiated instruction. Candidates must be able to plan lessons, evaluate student learning, and create problems that are scaffolded to support student learning.
Candidates should possess strong leadership skills, classroom management techniques, and interpersonal skills. Duties will include but are not limited to assignments outside of the classroom, parent conferences, and working in a team environment that requires flexibility and creativity. Intern or preliminary credential candidates will be considered. Support to clear credential may be available if credential is preliminary.
