AskNicely is looking for a Creative Director who can help us tell better, more consistent stories across all brand touchpoints. You'll think holistically about our brand strategy and develop the creative system and work to bring it to life. We're looking for someone who can facilitate new ideas, nurture them, set high standards, and provide creative oversight for both internal teams and vendors working across all mediums including digital, print, photography and videography. You'll oversee creative work that inspires and performs.

This is a new role at AskNicely, and is both creative and strategic. The ideal candidate will be a storytelling polymath, with excellent writing and communication skills, and a sharp design sensibility. You'll provide clear, consistent direction, but won't be afraid to roll up your sleeves and bang out extraordinary work.

  • Refresh our brand with the help of an agency and our marketing team, crafting a bold, authentic, differentiated B2H (business to human ) brand at AskNicely

  • Provide inspirational creative leadership for all marketing and brand executions including campaigns, web, ads, events, communications, film, and office design

  • Develop creative systems, style guides, and processes necessary to execute our brand strategy and deliver consistent brand experiences.

  • Work with marketing leads to achieve business and brand goals.

  • Protect the brand integrity, while encouraging creative exploration and risk-taking

  • Collaborate with the product team to create a unified end-to-end customer experience

  • Documenting the work we do, with success stories and agency-style sizzle reels

  • Act as a sounding board and facilitator for new ideas, solutions, and opportunities

  • Employ creative problem solving to address business challenges

  • 8+ years of creative agency experience (or equivalent)

  • Experience working in-house would be good; B2B experience would be great

  • Strong consumer brand sensibilities. A student of the world's best brands.

  • Exceptional presentation, writing, and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to collaborate and incorporate people from across the team

  • Inspiring storyteller with a range of creative experience e.g., film, TV, literature, comedy, etc.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment

  • A college degree or a good story about why you don't have one

Being at AskNicely, we pride ourselves in doing the right thing and win as a team. You will be apart of a growing global software company, providing opportunities for you to learn and grow in a supportive, collaborative environment.

  • Purple Benefits including Nice Days, Weekly Yoga, Friday Lecture Series, Quarterly Volunteer Activities, and more!

  • Competitive compensation based on experience

  • Comprehensive healthcare and benefit coverage

  • Paid company holidays and paid time off to recharge

AskNicely is award winning customer feedback software (built on the NPS framework), that helps front-line teams deliver the right experience to every customer, every time. We're a venture backed SaaS startup that, in four short years, has thousands of customers globally, with a growing team in Portland, Oregon and Auckland, New Zealand. Our business is built (literally) on customer happiness (check out our reviews on G2 Crowd).

  • The Gift of Appreciation

  • We believe that the best performance in people is motivated by positive feedback eg. Catching people doing things right.

  • By making it easy for customers to provide feedback to a business about an experience (appreciation), and for businesses to recognise their people for delivering great experiences (appreciation)

  • Simple. Never complicated, never too smart, we keep it simple. And humble. There are no egos here.

  • Personal. It's only about people, not software. We are proud to put our personality on display and show character in our software.

  • Curious. We don't have all the answers. We're seekers of the truth and how we'll evolve over time.

  • Responsive. Now is always a right answer. We deliver fast results. And we remain hungry for more.

The core essence of AskNicely is "appreciation". It's what we stand for and a principle to guide what we do each day. We appreciate different backgrounds, different contributions, different points of view and, most importantly, each other. It's how we win, together. We check our egos at the door and approach our work with curiosity, because we don't have all the answers, but we learn fastest together and celebrate our wins along the way. You're awesome. We're hiring.
