Job Summary:

This is to advise WRDW/WAGT has an opening for a Creative Services Manager to develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies that will enhance the image of and create audience growth, increase community visibility, and improve revenue opportunities. The Creative Services Manager has the responsibility for developing and executing the marketing, promotion, and production of the station "look" and image, its products, programming, and with particular emphasis on News. This includes the overall direction and supervision of the Creative Services Department.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and supervise the execution of all on-air and outside media related to promotion and imaging of station programming and news

  • Utilize research and work with various departments to develop and implement strategic marketing plans to build station awareness

  • Plan and execute departmental budget

  • Periodically produce press releases as necessary; act as station contact with outside media

  • Quality control of on-air product, News, commercial, promotional and public service production

  • Develop immediate and long range promotion plan for the station. Manage and coordinate all promotion, print, radio, on-air, outdoor, ads and specialty advertising

Requirements

  • Good communication skills

  • College Degree or equivalent job experience

  • Significant TV production and marketing experience

  • Management Experience

  • Full range of videography, producing, editing, and graphics experience

  • Ability to perform tasks associated with office duties

Job Summary: MULTIMEDIA JOURNALIST: WRDW-WAGT has an immediate opening for a full-time Multimedia Journalist. Your references should say you're attentive to detail, work well with others, passionate about journalism and dedicated to doing your part to keep our team #1. Previous experience turning stories under daily deadline preferred. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: * Shooting/editing daily content for newscasts, website, and social media * Reports news stories for daily broadcasts * Operating portable live unit, conducting live shots from the field * Generating story ideas and building local contacts * Must be able to work a flexible schedule depending on news events * Obtaining information about news through research, interviews, experience, and / or attendance at local event functions * Follows up on tips that lead to news stories * Reviews copy and corrects errors in content, grammar and punctuation, following prescribed editorial style and formatting guidelines * Determines a story's emphasis, length and format, and organizes material accordingly * Produces and presents reports for all platforms. * Ensures that all content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality * Writes stories for the web and other digital platforms * Interacts with viewers/users on social media sites. * Performs other duties as assigned by Management Requirements * Degree in journalism or mass communications or comparable experience * Working knowledge of broadcast ENG equipment and non-linear editing preferred * Your work should show enterprise stories told in a visual and creative way, strong camera presence, solid conversational writing and ethical news judgment * Knowledge of digital media content, social media, non-linear editing and ENG field cameras also preferred We have been consistently honored for our journalism.
