XQs mission is to fuel, inspire and catalyze Americas collective creativity in order to transform our

high schools so every student can succeed. XQ: The Super School Project launched in September 2015

as an open call to rethink and design the American high school. More than 10,000 students, educators,

parents and community leaders from all 50 states and representing nearly 4,000 communities answered

this call by proposing innovative, student-centered models for 21st century learning. To date, XQ has

pledged over $115 million to a growing number of the most promising ideas, actively supporting these

teams on their journeys to become Super Schools.

To meet its ambitious goals, XQ Super Schools is looking for a Creative Producer (Producer) to join

our team.

The Role

Reporting to the Creative & Product Director, the Producer will manage the end to end production of

print and digital deliverables. The producer will need to track the output of deliverables and manage the

day to day communication with cross-functional teams. In this role, the Producer will constantly be up

to speed on the latest design constructs and business requirements, to be able to deliver on time meeting

the brand and business needs of XQ. The Producer will have fresh thinking and ideas, and can quickly

and reliably develop, produce and bring those ideas to fruition.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Organize and articulate ideas into easy to consume briefs

Work on projects involving print, video, television, photography and live events

Work with the creative team to define the scope of work and plan for each project

Communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure objectives and outcomes are understood

Develop positive cross-functional relationships (including creative, communication, design,

campaigns, production) in order to easily partner on projects

Share detailed feedback on creative with design teams based on knowledge of design constructs

and business requirements

Own scheduling for project kick-off meetings and facilitate regular internal review meetings to

correspond to timelines

In conjunction with Creative & Project Director, assign tasks for individual team members

Develop, manage and track project trackers to keep teams updated and drive for results

Follow/create new project flow procedures to ensure maximum efficiency

Identify opportunities to improve process

Track projects through the workflow process and update across the team in relation to meeting

deadlines and next steps

Manage assigned agencies

Ability to travel

Qualifications and Experience

B.A./B.S. in Marketing, Design or equivalent

5+ years experience, preferably at a creatively driven ad agency, or in-house marketing

department as an account manager, creative producer, project manager or video producer

Interpersonal savvy builds appropriate rapport and effective relationships

Communicates program visions succinctly and motivates others do their best work

Plans and accurately scopes length and difficulty of tasks and measures results

Prioritizes projects and feedback to deliver best outcome

Negotiates wins and concessions without damaging relationships

Meets deadlines while juggling many priorities within tight timeframes.

Learns on the fly and is willing to try new things to find solutions

Informs stakeholders, management and partners in timely manner

Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage numerous projects

simultaneously

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to prioritize, plan, and execute projects successfully

Ability to utilize resources appropriately and manage to budget and schedule

Ability to manage and adapt in a constantly evolving and ambiguous environment

Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Wrike and Microsoft Excel

Requires a thorough understanding of all journalistic standards and broadcast production techniques used to create visual and compelling on-air and online content. Bachelor's Degree in journalism or related field required. Must have experience producing TV newscasts (minimum of 2 years). Familiarity with Bit Central, iNews and Edius a plus. Must be able to meet aggressive deadlines while completing high quality broadcasts. Must have thorough understanding of social media platforms and experience posting to digital platforms.
