The Creative Manager, Copy is a contributor to, guardian and champion of the brand voice. A conceptual leader and brand steward, this manager leads the copy team to develop strategic and persuasive copy that builds on the brand narratives. Through mastery of our distinctive voice, they will strengthen our brand, bringing our special products and services to life in an authentic, conversational style that engages consumers equally in digital, emerging and traditional media.
Reports to the Creative Director, Copy and works closely with cross-functional partners within Creative, Marketing, Digital Engagement, ecommerce, Philanthropy, Visual and Merchandising to ensure a superior guest experience. Perform other duties as assigned.
Collaborates on and helps implement communication strategies to promote marketing objectives, drive sales and position our brand as an authority within the Fashion & Home industries.
Oversees creative copy and concepts for loyalty and credit card programs, the Macy's app, in-store shopper services and user experience.
Collaborates to build strong relationships with creative peers and cross-functional partners in order to develop and implement strategies, deliver fresh creative solutions and create synergy and integration across marketing platforms.
Understands and communicates brand and voice guidelines and provides clear and consistent copy direction and feedback to keep team aligned to the overall creative vision.
Drives development of team members to uphold a high standard of technical quality and creative excellence, pursue innovation, achieve results and meet productivity standards.
Evaluates ongoing team and organizational needs, structure and workflow for rapidly changing company needs.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
3-5 years of relevant writing experience preferred.
Portfolio demonstrating strategic and creative strength.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
1 years of management experience preferred. Proven track record of developing individuals and teams, and of retaining talent.
