Trimble is recruiting for a Graphic Designer in Boulder, CO.

We are looking for a Graphic Designer who can push a project that extra mile and ensure standard of excellence in the practice of design.

As Graphic Designer you'll join a small team of business and creative strategists, content developers, and designers working across digital marketing, branding, and product design. You'll work primarily with SketchUp's marketing and design teams while also supporting global opportunities as part of Trimble's Creative Strategy group. This position is based in Boulder, Colorado and reports to the Creative Strategist for Trimble's Integrated Marketing Strategy group.

As a key component of Trimble's Architecture & Design division, SketchUp is one of the most popular 3D modeling and design tools in the world. Today, hundreds of thousands of architects, engineers, contractors, woodworkers, artists, and other creatives use SketchUp Pro, LayOut and the 3D Warehouse to design transit centers, treehouses and everything in between.

You will:

  • Develop, maintain and implement modern design practices that push the SketchUp brand forward.

  • Lead the design direction of the team with original concepts and by example.

  • Collaborate with team members to develop creative solutions and actionable plans that serve tangible business needs.

  • Work with our Project Manager and ensure that solutions are implemented, and delivered on time and on budget.

  • Work with external vendors to maintain brand standards and ensure solutions are being created at a high level.

  • Keep your pulse on developments/trends/concepts within your field, and share your knowledge with the greater team.

  • Foster design culture in the greater organization

  • Participate in sales, support, business and product meetings when appropriate.

  • Produce high quality production assets across marketing channels: web, email, social media, events and a lot more.

You are:

  • A skilled designer with a visual design degree and 6+ years of experience within a design related field.

  • Proven design leader with demonstrated experience in cross-disciplinary projects.

  • A passionate designer with a thorough understanding of digital communication, marketing and business practices

  • A multi-faceted person who craves diversity in his/her work; and a professional with a strong ability to manage multiple projects at once

  • Well versed in typography, color theory, layout theory and developing style and usage guidelines

  • An excellent communicator and leader capable of presenting your ideas to a team

  • Familiar with responsive design, UI/UX and wireframing. A working knowledge of live prototyping tools is a plus.

  • An organized, result-oriented and self-motivated team player with drive and ambition for yourself, our users and the team.

  • An expert with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Cloud)

  • Experienced in HTML, CSS, and 3D software

  • An openness to (and willingness to provide) constructive criticism, and a critical eye for one's own work.

  • An interest or passion for architecture and design within the context of the built environment. Experience with SketchUp is a plus.
