Overview
Milliman's Indianapolis Health Practice is looking for a Creative Director to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience developing and executing multiple diverse projects simultaneously and is eager to champion new and existing pharmaceutical client projects. The position was designed for an experienced leader who can effectively provide guidance and support to our internal Creative Team, who serves multiple client teams. This person will provide creative support on a variety of deliverables intended to be rendered on digital platforms and print media. The creative director will be part of the leadership team and should have a history of demonstrated success providing strategic recommendations related to staffing, training, and emerging trends in design and communications.
Responsibilities
The scope of this role includes:
Active participation in and contribution to strategic leadership discussions
Lead the evolution and enhancement of Creative Team capabilities to match client needs
Ensuring creative deliverables are consistent with client and project team expectations through a robust checking and quality assurance process
Client engagement and interaction
Production planning and guidance regarding layout, printing and digital
Development of annual creative team staffing plan including:
Goals
Opportunities and challenges
Team evaluation+ staffing recommendations (e.g., number of full-time positions and internships)
Client evaluation
Workflow evaluation
Learning and professional development plan
Participation in the planning and execution of all creative team projects, mentoring and developing the staff resources
Provide feedback and critique of creative work product to design team and business colleagues
Hiring and onboarding of new Creative Team colleagues
Development and execution of a learning and development plan for the Creative Team
Contributions to, and participation in, business development and pitches
Qualifications
Ability to communicate and present effectively, in both virtual and in-person settings
Excellent facilitation and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Highly proficient with Creative software and tools

The Team
The pharmaceutical consulting team is a group of 40+ individuals in the Indianapolis Health practice from varying backgrounds including actuaries, data analysts, pharmacists, and graphic designers. This group works primarily with pharmaceutical manufacturers by combining healthcare and payer knowledge, available data, analytic rigor, and industry experience to produce strategic and tactical insights for their clients. Our team consults for many of the top 20 pharmaceutical manufacturers, including some of the world's largest companies.
Location
The person hired for this role will work in a dynamic, hybrid environment, with 2 to 3 days per week of on-site work required in our Indianapolis office on a weekly basis.
