The Creative Director plays, perhaps, the most creative role within Big Ass Fans marketing team, driving the companys approach to visual communications and visual branding. The ideal candidate for this role will have a comprehensive history of developing effective visual communications within media, and the ability to define concepts that customers will both easily understand and convert within.
He or she will collaborate with senior marketing management to develop strong visual concepts and themes against a wider marketing campaign calendar, providing idea/concept generation from development to output in various mediums.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Creative/art direction for new visual conceptualizations against a defined marketing communications calendar, exhibiting a keen eye for placement, editing and overall Big Ass aesthetic.
Working with our Sr. Graphic Designer and Copywriter, he or she will drive the visual communications of our campaigns, refining concepts and layouts to ensure that everything that goes out is truly "Big Ass."
Collaboration with senior marketing, designers, project managers, photographers and 3rd parties to fulfill channel marketing asset needs.
Locate and negotiate terms around all required activation assets, tools, locations, etc.
Recommend multiple potential paths for visual projects to reach the team-desired level of success.

Requirements:
Bachelors degree in marketing or a common creative field.
8+ years on creative or art direction.
Prior experience developing creative for retail product lines, with strong preference for business-to-business manufacturing products.
Prior advertising agency experience strongly preferred.
Experience developing and executing art direction within creative campaigns.
High-level comfort in developing consistent, multi-channel creative themes (print, digital, direct mail, video, etc.)
Portfolio of previous work that displays an ability to turn an idea into a visual piece
Working knowledge of common modern marketing tactics, including an intermediate to advanced understanding of digital marketing tactics.
Vetted experience working within peer teams.
Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Medical Director plans, develops and oversees the creation of strategic clinical content for pharmaceutical and health care marketing and communications materials which may be delivered through a variety of print and electronic media outlets to include newsletters, articles, slide presentations, eLearning platforms and web applications. The position will interface with client groups, daily supporting assigned accounts by providing clinical expertise and leadership, and will gain a thorough understanding of the scope and expectations of each project. The desired candidate will be highly strategic in practice, with the ability to quickly process information in order to accurately translate and deliver to the target audience. As a more senior member of the clinical team, the position will mentor and train colleagues, and may provide daily functional guidance to others with regard to content development. Scheduling flexibility, timeline prioritization skills and a keen attention to detail are essential for success in this role. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Assumes full leadership of clinical aspects during strategic planning and project meetings with internal and client teams, gathering information and assessing client expectations on assigned initiatives, connecting science with strategy. * Plans, develops, writes and edits materials as assigned. Supervises and mentors other in house and contract medical writing resources, delegating assignments and revising returned copy to ensure consistency and cohesion of scope and message prior to submission to Editorial Services Manager. * Collaborates with internal and client parties to help identify creative solutions, and to constantly improve the level of fulfillment of client vision; contributes significantly to timeline and resource planning to meet deliverable milestones. * Takes ownership of client relationship, partnering with account teams to build confidence in Symbiotix service offerings; exhibits a professional image and demeanor, demonstrating adaptability and a dedication to exceptional client service, assisting with resolution of concerns related to assigned areas. * Acts as mentor and team lead for other less senior coworkers, providing guidance on scope of work and sharing therapeutic expertise. * Conducts research on assigned topics and secures references. * Partners with internal team and provides onsite support at key client meetings or events. * Properly tracks and retains electronic versions of documentation from draft through final submission. * Thoroughly edits and revises own work and collaborates to resolve errors or concerns, saving time in editorial review process. * Maintains a current knowledge of industry trends and standards and key medical topics and terminology in order to serve as a creditable resource to internal and client teams. * Applies creative, critical thinking skills to problem solve in a variety of situations. * Performs these and other duties as assigned in adherence with the standards and expectations of Symbiotix. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS * Advanced degree in pharmacy, nursing or biosciences preferred.
