Creative Design Specialist

The primary purpose of this position is to assist First Commerce in fulfilling our Vision to Empower Generations, Transform Communities. This is achieved through delivering Remarkable Member Service as defined by our Service Standards as well as building and maintaining strong member relationships through identification of member's financial needs and effectively recommending appropriate products and services to meet those needs.

The Creative Design Specialist is a key member of a dynamic and talented team who executes marketing campaigns to build awareness and increase engagement among current and prospective members. This position contributes directly to the credit union's growth and success by differentiating the First Commerce brand through graphic design, implementation of designs and campaigns through various digital and traditional media channels, development of relevant content, managing social media sites, and executing other marketing initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement design strategies that align with the company's overall branding and marketing goals.

  • Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as the Foundation, product development, and retail/lending to develop creative for various projects.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and technologies to ensure the company's designs remain fresh and relevant.

  • Manage production of advertising and other marketing collateral for print and digital.

  • Develop and execute marketing tactics for campaigns, promotions and community events that support the credit union's strategic initiatives, including tracking performance metrics and outcomes.

  • Reviews and reports on marketing metrics such as web visits, CTRs, user journey etc.

  • Manage First Commerce social media channels, including content development, driving engagement, and responding to member requests.

  • Managing relationships with external vendors such as printers, photographers, and illustrators to ensure that the final product meets the company's expectations.

  • Manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions.

  • Work with a wide range of media and use of graphic design software.

  • Actively seek feedback from stakeholders, such as vendors, managers and team members, to ensure that the design work meets their needs and expectations.

  • Evaluating feedback to determine what changes or revisions need to be made to the design work.

  • Making revisions and edits to the design work based on the feedback received, ensuring that the final product meets the company's standards and objectives.

  • Communicating changes to stakeholders to ensure that they are aware of the revisions/edits made to the design work.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Performs job duties in accordance with policies established by the Board of Directors under the rules and regulations set by the National Credit Union Administration, the State of Florida and any applicable State laws for financial centers located in other States.

  • Complies with Reg E, BSA, OFAC and CIP requirements such as reporting suspicious or unusual activity to manager.

  • Fully supports in actions and words First Commerce's Vision, Mission, Core Values and Service Standards.

  • Attends meetings timely and as required; reports to work as scheduled and adheres to First Commerce's dress code.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Superior communication skills - written and verbal with attention to detail.

  • Demonstrates sound design skills and independent problem-solving ability.

  • Good project management and planning and coordination skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally and discretely.

  • Excellent eye for detail.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrates resilience and adaptability.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of bachelor's degree in marketing, graphic arts, design, communications or a related field.

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working graphic design.

  • Familiarity with WordPress and HTML.

  • A minimum of 2 years in a fast-paced environment with proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience using Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition and Premiere Pro.

  • 3+ years of experience working with photography, video, and audio equipment and software preferred.

  • Familiarity with marketing and analytics tools used for social media, websites, reputation management, marketing automation and/or SEO preferred.

  • Moderate level of proficiency using Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
