The Creative Design Manager reports directly to the Associate Vice President of Marketing, and is a key advisor to senior leadership regarding the management and production of advertising and promotional materials that support TCS Education System and its community of colleges and universities. This includes managing the resources and development of advertising, marketing communications, and support collateral. The creative manager is accountable for ensuring that all creative achieves defined goals and represents brand attributes. They use their creative and management expertise to interpret goals, develop creative team members, and guide ideations into a tangible high quality delivered product.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMTED TO:

  • Determines project scope through collaboration and develops briefs. May also approve briefs developed by other team members

  • Aid in the development and delivery of creative presentations

  • Manage a portion of the creative budget and approve estimates

  • Co-lead creative team ideations, including the development of meeting agenda and providing meeting recaps to attendees and channel owners

  • Manage and collaborate with internal staff as well as external vendors, guiding them from conception through to final product

  • Attend strategy meetings for new business and/or campaigns

  • Manage, lead and develop junior design staff

  • Manage resources, tasks, contracts, scope, and budgets for projects and campaigns as it pertains to creative

  • Concepting and designing of printed materials including but not limited to brochures, magazines, annual publications, advertising campaigns, and visual identity pieces.

Position Requirements:

  • Provide result-oriented creative ideas and timely execution for all projects to successfully support TCS Education System and its affiliate partners' branding and recruitment.

  • A passion for working in nonprofit education.

  • Ability to take direction and will be a confident collaborator who won't hesitate to jump in and work alongside team members on projects and tasks of all levels.

  • Competent, driven, adept at decision-making and creative problem-solving, and a positive attitude.

  • Initiative and good judgment while being conscientious and trustworthy.

  • Experience leading and mentoring staff

  • Submitted portfolio

  • Employment contingent on completed design test

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or greater in design, communication, marketing, or related concentration.

  • Minimum five years' design experience with a high level of technical design skill and thorough understanding of design theory, color theory, and typography throughout multiple forms of media.

  • Deep knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Digital Production, and user-experience design.

  • Experience with web development, video editing/production, and photography a plus.

  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to provide clear and concise feedback and direction to and collaborate with team partners.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a multitude of projects at any one given time, while being able to work with a team and meet respective deadlines.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * Serving as the client's ultimate internal advocate. * Creating and maintaining client-facing delivery schedules. * Tracking tasks and deliverables for his or her accounts on a monthly basis. * Working with the production teams to ensure that all tasks and deliverables are created on-time and on-brief. * Serving as the gatekeeper for all production deliverables: Reviewing work to ensure it's on-brief and providing production with feedback and guidance whenever necessary. * Attending weekly, bi-weekly or monthly client check-ins. * Ensuring that content or strategy issues are escalated and resolved quickly and effectively. * Strong computer skills, including but not limited to proficiency with our proprietary software as well as industry tools. * Exceptional Brafton product knowledge and deep understanding of our production processes. * The ability to work at a computer during standard working hours.
