However, if you love cultivating strong, long-lasting client relationships and understand the complexities and dynamics of the agency business then you'll thrive here like a stray cat in a bird sanctuary.

Our creative branding/marketing agency, The Republik (www.therepublik.net) is filled with people who love to think, and make things both beautiful and intense. Not to mention we have a line of clients who crave this kind of work. We're bound by no media and are quite comfortable working in the digital, social and mobile realms. We need some help around here! We need an Account Executive, one who can jump on board with nary a stumble to manage all aspects of accountant management, strategic thinking, planning and implementation.

Candidates should be driven to be the best, have 2-4 years of integrated marketing communications & direct client management experience in an agency environment and have an appetite to grow within a bustling organization.

Requirements

SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU'LL BE DOING ::

-Manage clients independently on a day-to-day basis including timely documentation of client conversations/decisions and project & budget statuses.

-Strategic marketing counsel for clients communications programs and agency initiatives.

-Identify and interpret client/brand needs clearly and transform them into properly focused creative briefs.

-Initiate & develop mutually beneficial long-term relationships with clients at senior management level.

-Understand marketing & communication requirements and formulate marketing & communication plans.

-Preparation of marketplace analysis including client and competitive activity.

-Provide strategic thinking to write creative and media briefs.

-Provide objective feedback & input to creative and media concepts & plans.

-Develop workable budgets, revenue generation ideas and manage receivables.

MUST HAVE SKILLS ::

(MUST HAVE ADVERTISING, MARKETING OR PUBLIC RELATIONS AGENCY EXPERIENCE)

-Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Advertising or Public Relations.

-(2-4) years of direct account management experience (digital, production, creative, etc.)

-Interest and aptitude for creative business and marketing solutions.

-Experience in Integrated Marketing preferred.

-Well versed in planning campaigns across multiple platforms.

-Great client facing experience (B2B & B2C.)

-Marketing strategy and implementation skills.

-Skillful problem solver and a terrific team player.

-Strong project management and analytical skills.

-Critical and strategic thinking.

-Exceptional attention to detail.

-Identify opportunities for growth and improvement within existing channels.

-Excellent writing, editing, communication and interpersonal skills.

-Excellent presentation skills. Ability to create and deliver presentations that communicates and adheres to the strategic vision.

-Self-motivated, outgoing, confident, energetic, possess a positive attitude and willingness to expand knowledge base.

-Strong Keynote, Numbers and Pages skills.

-Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

-Use/familiarity with project management software platforms such as Basecamp.

To be successful, an Account Executive will need to be skilled at driving the entire sales process from prospecting to close with large enterprise organizations. This will include targeted outbound prospecting, uncovering customer projects and initiatives, managing complex buying and procurement cycles, and strategic account planning and execution. The Account Executive will participate in regional planning and be responsible for accurately forecasting sales activity and revenue while building and maintaining satisfied and reference-able customers. On a Typical Day You Might... * Develop strategies for selling directly to government customers within your assigned territory * Map out account plans to identify and close new opportunities for growth including expansion, cross sells, and professional service opportunities in current customers * Manage complex sales-cycles which include our entire portfolio of SaaS offerings and present to senior government executives * Work with senior management and accounting to negotiate contracts in the procurement cycle * Employ strategic solution selling skills within complex customer environments * Deliver regular internal account reviews (quarterly business reviews) to highlight key results, metric analysis, demonstrated value and emphasize the ROI, as well as, recommend process/procedure changes to better utilize Socrata's services including new products (via our product roadmap) * Qualify opportunities based on Socrata's sales methodology and metrics, to include customer fit and success criteria * Demonstrate expansion of the Socrata solution beyond the functionality introduced during the implementation process and consistently seek new business opportunities by presenting and recommending and upsell new Socrata products, services, and partner solutions * Work closely with marketing on customer nurture campaigns and product to deliver feedback from the field You Have..... * 7+ years of software solution sales and or account management experience * A proven track record in meeting/exceeding individual targets and quotas * 4+ years sales experience to Enterprise Government Customers * Previous experience with a value based sales, 'solution selling', target account sales, 'complex sales' or similar sales methodology * Proven success selling SaaS solutions * Ability to identify, critique, and suggest innovative changes to eGov and Gov 2.0 initiatives * Ability and desire to independently interact with multi-functional teams * Ability to effectively work at all levels of the organization including program managers, contracting officers, developers and senior executives * Communicate effectively at all levels of an organization, from individual contributors to C-level * Past experience providing solutions/sales/software into the public sector/government is highly desired * Past experience as a government employee is desired * Past experience with public speaking is desired * Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
