CRE Specialty Lending Consultant Opportunity Overview
This position can be located in either Granite Bay, CA or Bellevue, WA
As a CRE Specialty Lending Consultant with Banner Bank, you will be the expert on Commercial Real Estate for the Commercial Banking Division. You will be responsible for underwriting specific CRE transactions within a given market including structure, debt service coverage, loan to value and appropriate documentation. You will also stay abreast on CRE market conditions including values, lease rates, vacancy rates, and cap rates.
As a CRE Specialty Lending Consultant with Banner Bank you will have the opportunity to:
Partner with Commercial Relationship Manager on all requests greater than $1,000,000 secured by CRE.
Responsible for identifying all risks associated with specific transactions including mitigating factors including advance rates, debt service coverage (tenor, amortization); detail any policy exceptions.
Responsible for underwriting all NOORE originated by Commercial Banking greater than $1,000,000 and all OORE greater than $2,5000,000; which includes the completion of a detailed CRE specialty lending module which is part of the standard credit memorandum.
Analyzes all components of a CRE transaction including but not limited to: market, rents, leases and competition.
Responsible for review of appraisal, environmental, title, leases, rent rolls, operating statements, sales and purchase agreements and all other real estate-related documents.
Performs site inspections and client visits on new transactions and major construction projects.
Assist credit risk management on annual collateral risk assessment.
Education & Certifications
Advanced knowledge of real estate underwriting and appropriate structuring to minimize risk.
Experience in underwriting all types of commercial real estate property types including special purpose.
Knowledge of real estate related documentation, title, leases and ownership structures.
Proven ability to work in a collaborative environment and on several transactions concurrently.
