The Role

The Crane Technician will troubleshoot, repair, perform Preventative Maintenance (PM), and service all crane and hoists structures. The candidate must be certified to load test.

Pay starts at $28.00/Hour. Pay can be adjusted with experience.

Hours: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM Mon

  • Fri. Overtime is available as needed.

No travel is required for this role. All job duties are performed at our main facility and distribution center.

Job Duties/Responsibilitiesmay include, but are not limited to:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and inspect overhead cranes, hoists, and perform other tasks as needed.

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment.

  • Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs.

  • Service overhead crane systems by performing quality installations

  • Performing OSHA/ANSI equivalent inspections.

  • Troubleshooting breakdowns.

  • Performing preventive maintenance and responding to repairs

  • Document repairs using CMMS

  • Builds and maintains customer confidence by maintaining good response time, informing customer of problems, and completing the job in a timely manner.

  • Maintain professional presentation, timeliness, appearance, and organization in all areas.

Basic Requirements:

  • Three Years Experience of Installation/Maintenance of Crane, Hoists, and Structures.

  • Certified to Load Test

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear

  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

  • Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department

Work Environment:

  • Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles

  • Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions

  • Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration

  • Noise Level: Moderate
