Crane Operator

Emerge is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a direct hire 2nd shift Crane Operator job in Erie, PA for our client, a manufacturer of quality commercial and government products. We are seeking candidates with large product material handling experience, preferably crane operations. You should also have excellent spatial reasoning, good hand-eye dexterity and coordination, and a strong ability to work in a safe manner. This Crane Operator job is in a union manufacturing environment and is a second shift position, with contractual pay rates and salary increases. The Crane Operator position is offering a starting pay rate of $20.42- $22.00 per hour, which includes a shift premium. Our client offers premium benefits including low cost health insurance, profit sharing and 401K with company contribution.

Responsibilities for the Crane Operator Job in Erie, PA include:

• Operates an overhead crane to move large manufactured pieces to and from production line to shipping receiving.
• Works with a commitment to safety
• Uses hand – eye coordination to ensure proper placement and lifting.

Qualifications:

• One or more years of experience operating overhead cranes or similar equipment
• Excellent vision, dexterity and alertness.
• Must have a strong safety acumen
• Must pass pre-employment physicals and screenings.
• Able to work up to 40-45 hours per week.
