Crane Operating Millwright
Summary:The primary function of this position is to independently perform lifts and picks utilizing the following types of cranes but not limited to: Link-belt, Grove, Liebherr, All terrain and hydraulic truck cranes. This position will also install, dismantle, or move machinery and heavy equipment according to layout plans, rigging plans, blueprints, or other drawings by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Review the work schedule, check the equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, comply with PPE requires and otherwise prepare for duties.
Perform all necessary safety checks on the equipment per procedures and policies.
Perform inspections and preventative maintenance checks.
Operate cranes in a safe manner.
Examine objects, systems, or facilities, and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs.
Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
Moves machinery and equipment, using hoist, dollies, rollers, airbags, and fork trucks.
Assembles and installs equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails.
Constructs foundation for machines; insert shims, adjust tension on nuts and bolts, or position parts, using hand tools and measuring instruments, to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts.
Aligns machines and equipment, using hoist, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
Assembles machines, and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures.
Uses various hand tools, power tools, torches, and welders.
Operates Fork Lifts, Scissor Lifts, and Boom Lifts.
Must be able to demonstrate experience in performing all the duties and responsibilities listed above.
Class B CDL is a minimum.
NCCCO, TLL and TSS Certifications are required.
Verifiable experience operating cranes.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
