Qualifications and Detail about the Position
Broad Function
An Equipment Mechanic is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of various types of equipment and makes sure it is ready for assignment when needed. The Equipment mechanic is also responsible for ensuring company policy and procedures are followed in regard to the maintenance and repairs of equipment and fleet. Essential Functions
Promote, demonstrate, and instill Brock's Bsafe and Bbest culture in all aspects of the business.
Maintain a well-organized, safe working environment and ensure housekeeping activities in the yard are being maintained
Ensure compliance with company standards for cost control, quality, safety, and on-time delivery
Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting and general repair on a wide range of industrial equipment
Report yard maintenance logs to supervisor (Shipments, Returns, Back Log)
Ensure proper receipt of all incoming equipment including to but not limited to inspection of the condition of the equipment and report to supervisor.
Ensure pre-use inspection of Forklifts are completed and notify Yard Manager of any issues requiring servicing.
Monitor required preventative maintenance for Forklifts
Provide input that would assist in the continued improvement of processes and procedures
Perform other activities as directed by supervision.
Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements
Working conditions include outdoor and indoor field, yard, and shop locations.
Working during inclement weather
Working on uneven ground and near various types of equipment in all types of weather.
Working underneath equipment. Exposure to the outdoors, extreme weather conditions,
dirt, and fumes.
Utilization of Personal Protective Equipment is necessary
Heavy work: Lifting or moving up to 50 pounds occasionally, and up to 25 pounds of force

3-5years' experience in industry field

GRIPPING - Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands to receive materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Picking, pinching, or otherwise working with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling. Frequently
VISION - Have 20/40 vision with or without correction in at least one eye.
HEARING - Must be able to hear a forced whispered voice in one ear, the better ear, at not less than five feet with or without the use of a hearing aid.
WEATHER EXPOSURE - Exposure to outside atmospheric conditions. Conditions can range from
10 to 110 degrees Fahrenheit. Constantly

PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT - Must be able to properly do all required personal protective equipment for the requirements of the job for up to the entire work shift.
