Piper Companies is seeking a CQV Clean Utilities Engineer to join a global pharmaceutical organization with a state of the art facility in the Greater Raleigh, NC area. The Clean Utilities Engineer will support new projects, equipment, and clean utilities throughout a new pharmaceutical facility. The ideal candidate will have troubleshooting and change control experience in the field, supporting pharmaceutical utlities.
Responsibilities of the Clean Utilities Engineer:
Evaluate process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) to diagnose systems at the facility (pumps, valves, tanks, distillation columns, steam generators, process gases, VCI, WFI)
Own design and formulation changes/requests, and address non-conformities and deviations
Provide technical support and initiate process improvement measures on existing equipment throughout the facility
Work with validation protocols on equipment, including utilities
Independently write change controls
Take systems offline for testing, and successfully implement new measures for improving that system
Qualifications of the Clean Utilities Engineer:
8 - 10 years of experience in an engineering experience related to pharmaceutical clean utilities
Experience in troubleshooting mechanical issues in equipment such as pumps, valves, tanks, distillation columns, steam generators, etc.
B.S./M.S. in an Engineering discipline or related field of study
Compensation of the Clean Utilities Engineer:
$75-$95 dollars per hour, depending on relevant industry experience
