Job Title: Career Preparation Specialist

Schedule-Monday -Friday 8am. to 5pm.

Salary: 52,000 annually

Job Description:

We are seeking a Career Preparation Specialist to guide young adults/students from the ages of 16-25 in creating career plans and conducting presentations on resume writing, job interviewing skills, and other career-related topics. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and mentoring young adults, as well as a desire to bring new ideas to our team.

Responsibilities:

• Work with young adults/students to create career plans and set achievable goals

• Conduct presentations on resume writing, job interviewing skills, and other career-related topics

• Provide guidance and support to young adults/students throughout the career planning process

• Collaborate with other team members to develop new ideas and strategies for career preparation

• Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular updates to management

Requirements:

• High School diploma or experience in a related field

• Experience working with young adults/students in a mentoring or coaching capacity

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of career planning and job search strategies

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software

Requirements

Qualifications:

Minimum: High School diploma or related professional work experience. One year experience in career development, workforce development, counseling, sales, marketing, or related field.

Preferred: Two or more years related work experience.

Knowledge: Experience in the use of computers, word processing and e-mail. Effective communication skills both oral and written. Ability to effectively relate to student population. Skilled in counseling and motivating students toward vocational, education, and social development. High energy level. Familiarity with labor market trends and other related data. Familiarity with One Stop Career Centers. Familiarity with local area employers, technical schools/colleges, military recruiters, etc. license.

Salary Description

50, 000- 52,000
