The Culinary Partnership Operations team's Reimbursement Specialist investigates, processes, and communicates with ZeroCater's national culinary partners when a meal incident occurs in catering operations. They will work independently to champion improvements to the Reimbursement process, working cross-collaboratively with adjacent departments and management to quickly build efficient, equitable, and scalable solutions that meet the needs of our business and partners. Those with capable de-escalation and communication skills, coupled with experience creating strong systems and repeatable processes will lead this program to success. This role is an opportunity to work across a variety of departments and develop professional work experience and expertise in a fast-growing start-up.

What you will do:

  • Analyze data related to meal incidents to categorize, process with precision, and communicate with our culinary partners and internal teams

  • Evaluate current processes and implement repeatable solutions, including collaboration with adjacent teams to update internal materials and agreements around our culinary partners' business relationships

  • Utilize our proprietary meal-creation software, Excel, and a CRM platform to perform daily responsibilities

  • Use empathy, coaching, conditioning, and de-escalation skills to maintain relationships with our partners and strengthen ZeroCater's overall catering product

  • Achieve performance metrics including, but not limited to, timely responsiveness/delivery, accurate reporting, and project plan adherence

Qualifications for Success:

  • 3+ years proven performance in a customer-facing environment

  • Experience ideating best-practices, building processes, and analyzing large sets of information

  • Familiar with Excel and .csv uploads, Google Productivity Tools, and Salesforce or similar CRM

  • Persuasive, organized, and empathetic communicator and coach

  • Knowledgeable about food (restaurant or hospitality background a strong plus)

Responsibilities: * Performs error analysis for disputed/denied claims and provides recommendations for process improvements. Assists with third party audits when necessary. * Investigates, evaluates, recommends and implements fee updates and new fees. * Acts as a resource for information on public/private payer assistance and guidelines. Researches reimbursement issues as necessary. * Trains and coaches staff regarding proper coding and reimbursement policies and procedures.
