What You Will Be Doing

1.) Provide high quality tax and consulting services to the firms' clients
2.) Research tax issues and solutions to acquire professional subject matter expertise
3.) Manage the quality of our product/performance of our staff
4.) Facilitate/participate in "in-house" CPE, training and team building activities
5.) Professional development of our staff- motivate, teach and help achieve professional/personal goals
What You Need for this Position


1.) CPA certified
2.) 3+ years' of RECENT experience in PUBLIC accounting- emphasis in taxation
3.) Strong knowledge of state/local jurisdictional tax planning, consulting and compliance work
4.) Experience with S-Corps and partnerships
5.) Client-facing experience

Job Description: The Specialized Paralender will provide assistance to all members of the Relationship Banking Team by completing, collecting, and reviewing documents necessary for the extension of credit and resolving documentation exceptions post-closing. The Paralender will be the primary resource for the loan closing process and related ongoing portfolio management responsibilities. The Paralender regularly will serve in a problem solving capacity providing client service for loan products. This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime under the non-exempt FLSA classification for hours worked in excess of 40 per week. Primary Responsibilities * Demonstrate knowledge of commercial credit, regulatory, and documentation policies * Assist with the training of team members in areas of loan documentation and compliance * Determine, prepare, and obtain the necessary documents to evidence the debt and secure the loan * Ensure loans are booked timely and loan proceeds are disbursed in accordance with loan approval * Package loan documents post-closing and submit for imaging * Understand client needs and identify opportunities to improve and resolve client service issues related to the extension of commercial credit * Address loan setup issues promptly to ensure system data integrity Requirements * High School education or GED and 4 years of related banking experience Preferences * College Degree or Technical School Certification Location:Birmingham, Alabama EEO/AA/Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans Regions Financial Corporation Birmingham AL
