Position Description Summary/Purpose:
The Department of Nursing at Goodwin University is seeking a MSN prepared individual to serve as a course coordinator in our accelerated BSN program. This is a full-time position with a 3-semester appointment for which there is a break at the end of each semester. Teaching responsibilities will include laboratory, clinical and didactic.
Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities:

Teach the didactic content in the assigned course.
Facilitate the clinical experience in adult medical/surgical clinical settings
Provide oversight of all clinical adjunct faculty assigned to clinical rotations related to that course
Facilitate the clinical experience in the nursing skills laboratory and help to coordinate the clinical placements with the clinical coordinator
Review and provide weekly feedback to students about their clinical performance and paperwork
Complete midterm and final evaluations for assigned clinical group/s
Successful applicants will be expected to participate in departmental and University committees, faculty meetings, curriculum development, community day, graduation and contribute to student retention
Other duties as assigned
Other Functions:
Performs similar or related work as required, directed or as situation dictates.
Continues professional development and training; keeps current with trends.
Assists other department staff as needed to promote a team effort.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Education, Training and Experience:
Prepared at the MSN level
3-5 years of nursing experience
Teaching experience with RN students is preferred
An active license or eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Connecticut.
