Providence is calling Couriers to one of our various acute care and clinical settings in the Portland Metro area.

Please note the Courier position has a variable schedule working days, evenings and weekends.
In this position, you will:
Be responsible for routine and STAT deliveries and pick-ups of important freight items for all satellite clinics: confidential reports, interoffice and postal mail, UPS and FEDEX packages, diagnostic images, laboratory specimens, pharmaceuticals and supplies to medical offices, clinics, hospitals and fellow departments in the Providence Health & Services Oregon region.
Act as a communication link between offices, clinics, satellites and fellow departments.
Also be responsible for recording, monitoring, and maintaining the temperature ranges for frozen, ambient, incubated, and refrigerated laboratory specimens.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Driver must posses a valid and current operating license
Employee motor vehicle record must meet department maximum acceptability standards regarding violations/accidents
Knowledge of traffic patterns in the Portland metropolitan service area
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Previous client relations and courier experience
Previous experience in a healthcare environment
