Hours Per Shift:
Transports multiple items that may include any of the following: medical records, lab specimens, pharmaceuticals, pharmaceutical supplies, x-rays, correspondence, freight, and miscellaneous items to ensure efficient flow of information and materials throughout various Sanford or other locations as required. This position may have access to medications and/or specimens for purposes of distributing.
Help with putting dialysis supplies away in Fort Yates Dialysis Unit. Plan and follow the most efficient routes for delivering goods.
Receive messages or materials to be delivered, and information on recipients, such as names, addresses, telephone numbers, and delivery instructions, communicated via telephone, two-way radio, or in person. Record information, such as items received and delivered and recipients' responses to messages. Sort items to be delivered according to the delivery route.
Unload and sort items collected along delivery routes. Unload goods from large trucks, and load them onto smaller delivery vehicles. Walk, ride bicycles, drive vehicles, or use public conveyances to reach destinations to deliver messages or materials.
This position may work 12 hours per two-week pay period, but hours are not guaranteed.
Current valid drivers license, and must meet all medical guidelines for Sanford Health Category II drivers. High School graduate or GED is preferred.
Must be able to follow both structured and flexible delivery schedule. Ability to read and comprehend verbal and written instructions. Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment. Driver history must comply with Sanford driver qualification standards for insurability.
