BASIC PURPOSE OF POSITION
The County Director is responsible for program delivery and integrity for all of Adult and Family Services. Under direction of Deputy Director, position directs and manages all aspects of Adult and Family Services programs (SNAP, TANF, ABD, etc.) and activities in the counties of responsibility. Provides administrative oversight, support and coordination for divisions besides Adult and Family Services housed in same office.
Directs and supervises SSSIV and other staff to ensure workforce quality, competence, service delivery and compliance with law, policy and procedure.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA's)
The ability to effectively administer multiple priorities across program and divisional lines. Development of staff through personal and professional leadership.
Promote teamwork and team spirit to achieve a high-level of morale. Superior communication skills in written and oral form. Requires a high level of managerial talent, ethical business judgment and knowledge of the agency's policies and practices.
Provides positive recommendations and/or solutions to complex and diverse issues involving employees, clients/customers, and federal, state and local partners through the use of interpersonal skills.
Completion of a master's degree, 4 years of professional social work, plus 3 years of qualifying experience as a supervisor, a senior programs administrator or in program management. Or, an equivalent of education and experience. One additional year of qualifying work experience may be substituted for each year of the required education.
A conditional offer of employment to final candidate will be contingent upon a favorable background check and a substance abuse screening.

This is a full-time unclassified state position with full state retirement and insurance benefits, including paid health, dental, life, and disability insurance. Annual leave of 10 hours per month and sick leave of 10 hours per month begin accruing immediately.
